Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 6 October 1986. Dickerson talks about growing up in Pottsville, Pennsylvania and her move to Philadelphia to find work. She discusses her marriage, divorce, and relationships with her children. She tells of her conversion to the Mormon Church, its impact on her life, and speaks of her daughter and granddaughter also becoming Mormons.
